    R&D and Piloting Stage

    LPE collaborates with customers to design experimental programs for membrane separation process development based on specific process requirements or technical challenges.

    Typical activities include:

    • Technology evaluation and feasibility studies to assess suitable membrane separation approaches for the process
    • Experimental design and process optimization, including laboratory testing and evaluation of separation performance
    • Pilot testing and long-term pilot evaluation at LPE facilities or customer sites to validate performance under real operating conditions

    Scale-Up and Industrial Implementation

    Once the separation concept is validated, LPE supports customers in scaling up the membrane separation process development to industrial production.

    This includes:

    • Designing customized membrane systems with optimized configurations
    • Engineering skid-mounted systems, piping layouts, and automation solutions
    • Conducting process risk evaluation and system validation (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ) to ensure reliable operation
